My first time trying mofongo
A quick stop on the way to the Met Cloisters

Just with any other trip of mine, I planned my trip to the Met Cloisters with the intention of trying local eateries, especially since I don't find myself in Inwood often. I heard there was a large Dominican community in the area, so I made it my mission to try some great Dominican food.
Mofongo de cerdo
$16.00
The first few bites felt novel, with the softness of the plantain being broken up with the crispiness of the pork. My initial rating of this dish was in the high 7's, but as I continued to eat more, the bites started to feel the same. Overall, I would still say I enjoyed the dish, but there was not a lot of depth of flavor or textural variety that would leave me wanting to come back for more.
The verdict
I had a solid meal at Linda Restaurant, but I don't see myself wanting to go back. Even if I was in the area again, I would use that opportunity to try a different restaurant and try other Dominican cuisine. Both the price and food were decent, so if you're someone who's looking for a quick bite in the area, I won't shy you away from coming here.
